Lawhorn has become a fixture in the Sioux Falls lineup and enters his fifth season defending third base. His 296 games played are second most in team history. No player has manned the hot corner more than Lawhorn, and he is the career leader in several defensive categories. At the plate, Lawhorn has hit .277 with 36 home runs and 170 RBI. His 73 career doubles rank second in team history, and he is fifth all-time with 319 hits. In 2010, Lawhorn was an American Association All-Star. Lawhorn played three years in the Cincinnati Reds organization prior to joining Sioux Falls in 2007. He then hopped into the Seattle Mariners’ organization before reuniting with Sioux Falls in 2009. The Reds drafted Lawhorn in the ninth round in 2004.
